Bio

I have worked in the lighting industry for 30 years. The first few years were spent in manufacturing where I gained extensive experience in sheet-metal and aluminium working (including cold-rolling and single-blank and coil-fed presswork), electrostatic powder coating, injection moulding, thermoplastic extrusion and electrical design and assembly.

As a Quality Control Manager I was responsible for the design of a quality assurance system that was approved to BS5750 (now ISO 9001). I established a test laboratory where luminaires were tested to the appropriate standards and, working with the BSI Laboratories in Hemel Hempstead, obtained BSI Kitemark, Safetymark and ICEL approvals on numerous products. I also wrote one of the very first computer programs for lighting design calculations.

My career in sales and company management has focused on lighting solutions working on a broad variety of projects. A particular expertise of mine is the integration of emergency lighting whether self-contained, central battery or static inverter. For your assurance I am a BSI/ICEL Registered Competent Emergency Lighting Engineer.

As your Cryselco sales representative I can provide a level of experience and technical expertise not normally associated with a ‘salesman’, this will be especially useful to clients where low energy use and low cost of ownership are priorities.
