About Our Fittings
Emergency Conversions
Emergency conversions are available for most Cryselco Fluorescent luminaires. The advantages of using our fittings with factory fitted emergency lighting equipment include the peace of mind that comes with a guarantee that applies to the entire luminaire and factory fitted units installed under our quality assurance systems meeting the requirements of ICEL, BS and EN Standards.
Wherever possible the emergency gear will be housed within the luminaire (integral) but there are some cases (heat build up, physical size etc.) where it will be necessary to either use different control gear for the fitting or mount the emergency gear outside the luminaire in a remote box. The luminaire will be pre-wired ready for a simple on site wiring into the remote gear box which must be mounted within 0.5 metres of the luminaire. Most of our emergency conversions are maintained where one of the standard tubes will immediately restrike in the event of a complete mains supply failure and provide light for three hours.
In some cases although we list emergency add on options, please note that suitability for emergency conversion may not be possible. Please check.
Please refer to the Proteus and Meteor ranges for emergency conversions on these ranges.
Please Note: All references to emergency conversions relate to standard fittings. Please refer any enquiries for emergency conversions with dimming gear or sensors.
